The Junior
100 club
purpose
To develop young males (ages 10 -12 years of age) to prepare them for life
(ie. college and/or obtaining a career immediately after high school)
to enhancing the educational and economic development of our mentees by teaching basics of financial literacy.
format
1.
Energy check, ice breaker, and then subject matter.
2.
This program is NOT a curriculum, yet a one-on-one mentoring
session which will consist of 10 boys with 5 members of 100 Black
Men of Douglasville to allow for a ratio of 2 students to 1 mentor.
3.
Each student will be assigned a mentor (preferably two mentors).
4.
An overview/contract will be created for the parents and students to sign.
6.
The Zoom mentoring sessions with parents will be held bi-weekly.
7.
The summer portion of this program will begin in July (exact day and time to be determined by the school) and last until school starts.
8.
Metrics will be developed to track the progress of the students.
